Statement of Faith

We Believe:

  1. In one true and living God, eternally existing and revealed to us as the Father, Creator of all things; the Son, Jesus Christ, God Incarnate; and the Holy Spirit.  (Matthew 28:19; 1 John 5:7)
  2. In the deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, death for our sins, bodily resurrection, ascension unto God, and imminent return in power and glory. (Isaiah 7:14, Romans 8:34, John 17:20-21, Acts 1:10-11)
  3. The Holy Scriptures are the inspired and complete revelation of God's will concerning man's salvation through the grace of the LORD Jesus Christ. (2 Timothy 3:15-17, 1 Peter 1:23-25)
  4. In the Creation, Test and Fall of man as recorded in Genesis, his total spiritual depravity and inability to obtain divine righteousness. (Genesis 1:26-31, Romans 3:23)
  5. That men are saved solely through faith in God's grace through faith in the perfect and sufficient work of the Cross. (Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 5:11)
  6. In water baptism as a public declaration that a believer has died with Christ and risen with Him to walk a life of holiness and love. (Matthew 28:19)
  7. In the unity of all true believers as members of the universal body of Christ, regardless of denominational affiliation. (Ephesians 1:22-23; 2:19-22, 4:15-16)
  8. In the celebration of the LORD's Supper as a remembrance of Jesus. (1 Corinthians 11:24-30)
  9. In the ministry of the Holy Spirit:
  1. In the total prosperity of man: spiritual, mental, physical, financial and social. (3 John 2)
  2. That Jesus Christ is coming again to gather all His saints unto Himself.  Those who have not accepted His redemptive work on their behalf will suffer separation from the Godhead and burn in the lake of fire. (Acts 24:15-16, Acts 1:11, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, Hebrews 9:27, 2 Peter 3:7)
  3. That following His return, Jesus Christ will rule and reign for one thousand years on the earth. After this, there will be a new heaven and a new earth. (Revelation 20:21)
